- Annotation: The purpose of this article is to explain how Annenkov constructs his “Materials” to show the progress of Pushkin’s poetical genius. In this article it is noticed that the chronology has a formal place in “Materials” but the chapter’s boundaries are flexible. The content of the text of any chapter is presented by Annenkov from the angle of Pushkin’s personality as it appeared to the biographer. Such a form let him realize the process of transforming Pushkin’s abilities. Pushkin’s letters, manuscripts, drafts, and notebooks created his voice and thoughts which were perceived by readers in 1855 as a major discovery.
