Annotation: The work is an overview of the International Conference held at the IMLI RAS in October 2020. The author analyses the structure of the conference, the composition of its participants, and the specifics of its online conduct; the problems of the reports presented at different sections, new approaches and concepts that revise and challenge negative perceptions, ideologemes and stereotypes in relation to Russian statehood. The review draws attention to topicality and prospects of further development of the problems stated at the conference.
